Description

These highly detailed 28mm sandbag defences have been carefully sculpted to fit perfectly with 28mm scale miniatures (please refer to the product images for scale reference). Designed as part of a growing modular terrain range, they can be set up in multiple layouts, making them ideal for creating flexible defensive positions on your wargaming table and model scenery displays. Inspired by the classic film Zulu, these sandbags are perfect for recreating historical battle scenes with authentic character and realism.

If you choose the unpainted version, each piece is packed with deep texture and fine detail, allowing outstanding results when painted. Using simple dry-brushing techniques will highlight every fold and seam, giving the sandbags a realistic, battle-worn appearance. Once painted, they look superb as part of any defensive line, trench system, or fortified position.

These sandbags are especially suited for recreating the Battle of Rorke’s Drift (1879), where the Welsh defenders famously used sandbags and biscuit boxes to form barriers against the attacking Zulu forces. A perfect addition for historical wargaming, dioramas, and display scenes.
